Meet the Doctors

Dr. Tyler Wheeler was born and raised in Gulfport, MS. He graduated with honors from Mississippi State University where he received his B.S. in Biomedical Engineering. After graduating from MSU, he attended University of Mississippi Medical Center where he obtained his M.S. in Biomedical Sciences.  Dr. Wheeler earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Upon graduation from dental school, he received the Dr. C. Wayne Caswell Pankey Philosophy Award, the Jackson Free Clinic Student Service Award, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry Certificate of Recognition, the Delta Dental Certificate of Recognition, and the E. Bud Tarrson Dental School Student Community Leadership Award. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Mississippi Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and American Academy of Implant Dentistry.

Dr. Wheeler is married to his wonderful wife Morgan. They have a daughter, Adalyn, and a dog, Charlie, which they shower with attention. During his free time, he enjoys fishing, golfing, running, and visiting the barrier islands. Dr. Wheeler is committed to a high level of patient care and comfort. He strives to help patients obtain and maintain a healthy smile. 

A native of Gulfport, Dr. Edward Wheeler graduated Gulfport High School in 1971, attended Mississippi State University with a BS in Biochemistry, and then graduated the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Dentistry in 1983.

He has been in practice here ever since and enjoys treating patients in all phases of general practice. Dr. Wheeler is a member of the Mississippi Dental Association, Greater Gulfport Dental Society, and a lifetime member of the American Dental Association.

He feels blessed to work with his staff on the Mississippi coast and its good people. In his spare time, Dr. Wheeler stays fit and is an active runner and triathlete.
